Solving Complex Problems. Creating Valuable Opportunities...
4D™ is our approach to solving complex problems. 4 important phases through which we work together with our clients. We do it in a powerful – highly energetic way. It is co-creative and deeply respectful of the clients own insights and knowledge – highly collaborative – working with the senior teams against an agreed ‘exam question’. Interactive Demonstrator
With a clear Exam Question – the problem or the opportunity clearly agreed, (EG: We need to do this – by then – and achieve that!) we can develop the strategy, the road-map and the critical plans we need to achieve the objective for our clients.
4D™ is quite simply the 4 phases of:
- Discovering what we could do.
- Developing what we should do.
- Deciding what we will do.
- Deploying what we’ve agreed to do.
And in a bit more detail:
Discovering what we could do – This builds rapid alignment of everyone involved. The key stakeholders – creating the right context for what is and what isn’t possible. What could and might be possible. This part increases the context within which we can think, re-frames the opportunity and ensures that we agree and share common ground – we create critical definitions of what we could do.
Developing what we should do – Building on what we have uncovered/discovered in the Discovering phase and understood to be required. In this phase we are starting to create strategies, creating new plans against agreed scenarios – hard plans for the future.
Deciding what we will do – This is the part where we get to choose. We apply world class frameworks and principles together with expert facilitation to be sure we make the right decisions. We call this Decision Quality and it is at the heart of the entire process of 4D™. Having sorted all of our choices into a coherent set we can then build the detailed journey – a road-map that leads – with far less risk – towards the outcomes.
Deploying what we’ve agreed to do – This is ensuring practical implementation. It can involve everything from communication and training to health checks and the regular refreshing of detail within the programs. This part is all about embedding the change, ensuring ownership thereby sustaining the strategy, transformation or change program over the long term.
